September is a wonderful month to visit the Crested Butte area of Colorado. There are many activities and special event held in September, many of which can be viewed on the September Spendor in Gunnison site. A few special events include the Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cook-off, Vinotok harvest festival, DjangoFest Colorado (gypsy jazz), MountainAir Marathon, gallery crawls, mountain biking series, a fun run and more. Every Tuesday and Thursday there are guided Heritage Walking Tours by Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum, as well as different Farmers' Markets open from Thursday through Sunday.
