Nicholas Andre Dance- February 1st, 8:00pm

Revered for original choreography that is dynamic and innovative, moves mastermind and Artistic Director Nick Ross is known for showcasing the dancers‘ physicality and athleticism. Trained at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY-Purchase, Ross has also taught at the Joffrey Ballet Scholl and Dance New Amsterdam. An athlete before he was a dancer, his expression is a unique blend of many different styles exhibited through the 16 original pieces he has choreographed for the company. This fresh and innovative repertoire, including works such as Zootopia, Wired,...and again, Undercurrent and Metro, has been premiered at such prestigious venues as the Joyce SoHo-NYC.

Clean concise lines, technical prowess, intense energy and unpredictability characterize this company‘s works, as dancers convey such complexities as the stages of a relationship from coquette cat and mouse to the jagged angles of a bared and angry soul. They showcase the glory of humans in motion, explore the struggles we are afraid for others to see. This is dance that is emotional and authoritative, while leaving the audience to make their own creative conclusions.
