Oskar Blues CANtastic CANtests Apres Ski Fun- January 12, 2013

Join Oskar Blues every Saturday in January for some Après Ski fun on the hill.

Starting at 3pm under the OB Tent near the Red Lady lift, register for our fun races and compete to win fame, glory and some fun OB Swag items.Races start at 4:30pm at the Base Area.Sample Oskar Blues finest brews onsite at 9380 Bar Deck in the Elevation Hotel from 3-5pm.

For every Oskar Blues purchase on event days at any CBMR outlet, receive a raffle ticket to win a super dope pair of Oskar Blues branded Icelantic skis to be drawn at the end of the last event on January 26th!

Nordic Center Snowshoeing Tours

The Nordic Center rents snowshoes for $20 a day for adults, $15 a day for children and seniors, and they have top of the line demo snowshoes available for $25 a day for adults.

Snowshoers are welcome to attend the Moonlight Dinners at the Magic Meadows Yurt. Additionally, they offer guided Backcountry Snowshoe Tours.

Please call 349-1707 xt. 3 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a tour by appointment.
Join us for one of our Come-One-Come-All Snowshoe Tours.

• Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m – 1 p.m.
• Meet at the Nordic Center at 9:45 a.m. dressed to be active outside in all weather.
• $65 per person, includes snowshoes, poles, transportation, and light refreshments.

Or make a snowshoe tour by appointment:

• 1/2 Day, $65 per  person- morning or afternoon, 10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
• Full Day, $95 per person – start at 9 AM (includes lunch)
• Ski or Snowshoe

Wednesdays with Wendy Fisher- January 9, 2013

Wendy Fisher, local Olympian and free skiing expert, is again hosting Wednesday ski clinics at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. In the 2012-2013 season, Wendy will lead two separate learning options based upon ability level: one for high beginner/intermediate skiers and the other for high intermediate advanced/expert skiers.

Participants can expect to learn how to ski with more fluidity, and how to work the terrain differently to enhance the on-mountain experience. We’ll focus on improving each participant’s technique and confidence and we’ll determine our destination based upon the comfort level of the group.

This Intermediate Session is ideal for the Intermediate skier who has not yet experienced Crested Butte’s Extremes or is not comfortable with this type of terrain. Price is $90 per clinic.
