The streams in Crested are intensely packed with life and give ecologists opportunities to study predator-prey interactions, consumer-resource relationships, and competitive interrelations. We will be visiting weatherports, cattle-tanks, and natural streams that scientists at the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab use to study aquatic insects, trophic cascades, and the effects of environmental change on mountain stream communities. Dr. Bobbi Peckarsky from Cornell University will discuss the results and impacts of the research done at RMBL.
Visit the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory website for more information.
