Crested Butte Mountain Resort is sponsoring a Santa Ski Crawl in hopes
of setting the World Records for the most number of skiers in full Santa
costumes. Participants need to be decked out in a full Santa suit in
order to participate and CBMR will be offering $20 discounted lift
tickets in the Transit Center. Event Pub Crawl tickets are $25 and
include a Santa suit.
Join us at Lodge at Mountaineer Square for some holiday cheer. S'more
stations start at 5 pm and the lighting of the tree happens at 5:30 pm.
Then stick around for photos with Santa.
Good timing, rowdy, mountain “tubgrass” from Durango, Colorado. Slaves to the bluegrass beat, bring your dancing boots, this power-trio is known to throw down for the faithful. Coming up on fours years together, the Scrugglers have become seasoned and have gained traction as a hard working, regional band of Southwest Colorado. Known as trio built around the big sound the of 2-stringed electrified washtub bass joined by banjo and mandolin.
The Scrugglers aren’t an Earl Scruggs cover band (although they do some of his material). The Scrugglers instead try to uphold a tradition of improvisation and creativity with acoustic music and especially the banjo. Part jug band, part jam band, the Scruggler’s material spans from old-time traditional to campground jam circle favorites to danceable rock and roll covers to original material.
Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with our bar & grill. The band will start about 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $5.00 and children under 18 are free. Tickets are available only at the gate. We have Parker Pastures burgers, Mulay’s sausage, corn, chips Luna Bakery Buns and cookies available as well. We also serve gluten free buns and veggie burgers too.
Glasses tinkle, friends laugh, and
enticing aromas waft from the kitchen as you sit down to a gourmet meal.
There’s no way to truly grasp the unique beauty of a special dinner at the
Magic Meadows yurt than to experience it for yourself. Grab your friends and
family, your skis or your snowshoes, and join us for one of these truly
memorable dinners.
Guests ski or snowshoe out to the
yurt at your own pace. The trail to the yurt is about a mile and is mostly
level with a few rolling hills, taking about 30 – 45 minutes for most skiers.
If you’re new to skiing, snowshoeing is a great option. If you’re unfamiliar
with our trails, we can arrange for a guide to meet you at the trailhead at
5:30–just let us know if you’d like this service! We recommend all guests bring
a headlamp or flashlight, and do stop by the Nordic Center ahead of time to
