Join Tom Prather, an Emeritus Professor from Western State College, for a 7 mile round-trip hike at a 2,000 foot elevation at the Schofield Park trail, through wonderful wildflower meadows. The Professor will be discussing the area's abundance and variety of wildflowers and geologic history, and there will be plenty of time to view and identify wildflowers! Don't forget to bring 1-2 liters of water, hiking footwear, dress appropriately for the weather, bring snacks, a camera, a pen and notebook, sun protection, and wildflower identification field guides.
Visit Wednesdays at Western for details.
